Getting Started with Apple iOS Mobile App Development

Kevin McKinley and Heather Snepenger of Rounded Development demonstrate the tools and skills needed to get started developing applications for the Apple iOS Mobile Platform.

We begin by discussing the Xcode Integrated Development Environment and Objective-C and other languages such as C and C++ that may be used for development.

Kevin and Heather will walk us through the creation of a VERY basic Android application and explain the “iOS Application Lifecycle”.

Finally, the process of making applications available in the Apple Application Store will be covered.

Both of our presenters are Application Developers at Rounded Development which is located in the Syracuse Tech Garden.

Kevin McKinley attended the School of Hard Knocks and is a Self-Taught application developer.

Heather Snepenger completed a B.S. Applied Mathematics at R.I.T, and is completing Graduate work at Syracuse University.

Pizza and refreshments will be provided beginning at 5:00pm – the presentatin will begin at 6:00pm sharp.
