Getting Started with Mobile App Development
Wednesday, November 9, 2011 5pm-7pm
Tech Garden (AXA Towers Plaza) Auditorium
235 Harrison Street
Syracuse,NY13202
Mobile applications have quickly become part of our everyday lives. There are apps for travel, music, games, grocery lists, wireless device management, and the list goes on and on. In addition to the convenience of these apps as consumers we expect the same surfing experience we have become accustomed to on our desktops.
Based on consumer expectations it is critical for companies to be mobile friendly. This begs the next question, how do you move your company in that direction? Or as an entrepreneur how do you create your own apps?
Andrew Farah, Co-Founder of Rounded Development will take us through the process of what it takes to get started in each environment; IOS, Android, and Mobile Web versus HTML5 standard websites. He will talk about the challenges and considerations with each option as well.
Andrew is a Co-Founder of Rounded Development, LLC, and a Co-Founder of We are Mobile, LLC. Additionally he has held the position as CIO at AppFury, LLC. Andrew is a Technical Mentor for the iSchool at Syracuse University. He a graduate of SU with a Masters’ from the iSchool and undergrad in Writing from Arts and Sciences.
Light snacks and refreshments will be provided beginning at 5:00pm – the presentation will begin at 6:00pm sharp.
This event is free to all – we would GREATLY appreciate you registering on line at http://meetup.acmsyr.com
